Reuter Hall is a residence hall which opened in Fall 2006 that has suite style rooms. Each suite consists of four private, lockable bedrooms, a semi-private bathroom, a kitchen area, and a living room. The hall has 95 suites and can hold up to 380 residents.

Included in each suite’s living room is a love seat, full couch, and two tables. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a full-sized fridge, stove with oven, sink, broiler pan, dishwasher, lots of cabinets and a counter with 3 stools. The bathroom is separated into three sections, a toilet room, shower room, and double sinks. The bedrooms come with a dresser, desk, and bookshelf and a bed which can be lofted. Additional pieces for the beds to be lofted can be checked out at no additional cost.

Other amenities include high speed internet, cable television hookups, on-site laundry facilities, utilities and individual suite-controlled heat/AC.

There are different types of suite set-ups. Some suites have their common areas in the front of their suite by the main door and others in the middle or at the back of the suite.

In addition to the suites, Reuter Hall has general use spaces for residents to use. There is a group study/TV lounge area, an exercise/game room, lobby, and computer lab. Also, on each floor, with the exception of first floor, there are recycling rooms to place recyclables in.

Reuter Hall offers many resources at the Front Desk. Residents can check-out equipment, kitchen supplies, movies, and various other items. Residents can also buy pizzas and stamps.

Reuter Hall is open all year round.  Residents are allowed to stay free of charge during all academic breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring break). Reuter Hall is also open during the summer for a fee.

Students must be on a meal plan. The most popular is the Reuter Hall block meal plan, which consists of 75 block meals and $50 dining dollars per semester. To get cost comparisons, please e mail: reslife@uwlax.edu

There is an application process that occurs to be able to live in Reuter Hall. Students who want to live in Reuter fill out an application in the fall. First priority to live in Reuter is given to residents who already live there. Next, current residence hall students are offered a space based on the number of semesters lived on campus, followed by number of credits earned. Students who are on academic probation or residence hall probation will not be allowed to live in Reuter Hall.

If accepted, students must attend the suite selection night. To be given a higher priority in the suite selection process, students must sign-up in a group of four. If students do not have a group of four, there is a social gathering before the actual selection night to meet other students living in Reuter and to find a group of four suitemates.

International and transfer students can also request to live in Reuter. They need to specifically request Reuter on their housing application to be placed in Reuter pending availability.

Tours of the building and an available suite can be arranged by stopping at the Reuter Front Desk.

Reuter Inventory Forms should be filled out by each resident at the beginning of the year.
