White Hall is located closest to Veterans Memorial Stadium and
the athletic fields on the east side of campus and houses about 220 students. To better meet the lifestyle needs of students and positively enhance the living/learning environment, two floors of White Hall have been designated as substance free. This means: no tobacco products (smoking or chewing), alcohol, intoxicated behaviors and illegal drugs. The other two floors have lifestyles of our traditional residence halls. First and third floors are male floors. Second and fourth are female floors. Community style bathrooms can be found on each floor.
With an active student body, hall council and staff, the hall sponsors a variety of events for both the campus and La Crosse communities.
Student rooms are double-occupancy. Most student rooms are the same size with room dimensions: 15’6” long x 11’6” wide x 8’ high. This can vary on location in the building. Included in each room are two desks, dressers, beds, mini-fridge, bookshelves, cable cord, recycling bag, trash bin, and recycling bin.
In addition to student rooms, White Hall has general use spaces for residents to use. There is a TV lounge area, kitchen, game room, meeting rooms, and computer lab. Also, on each floor there is a study. These studies are typically used for overflow housing during the first semester and sometimes the whole year. For more information on the studies, please see the FAQ page.
Other amenities include high speed internet, cable television hookups, local phone service, on-site laundry facilities, and wireless internet throughout the hall. |
