Eagle (New) Residence Hall Information
UW La Crosse will be opening two new residence halls in fall 2011.  We are excited about our new 5-story residence hall structure.  Due to the size of the structure, there will be two residence halls composed of two identical, but separate wings of 250 students each.  Each residence hall will have a unique name, staff and hall government system.
Each building’s wings will consist of 9 “houses” with 26 to 30 students living in each house. As part of each “house”, student rooms surround a large common gathering area and kitchenette that students can use to socialize as well as study. The facility also offers classrooms and a large meeting space to accommodate all residents.
In each house, individual student living units will have two furnished double bedrooms and a shared bathroom.  This residence hall structure will house returning, first year, transfer and international students

The Office of Residence Life is excited to be adding several Global Village communities and a Social Justice community to our new residence hall.  These Global Village communities will be a diverse community of students who share common interests ranging from foreign language studies and cross-cultural understanding to the discussion of world affairs. The Social Justice communities will actively explore equality, peace, and respect for everyone.  The purpose of these themed living environments will be to provide an international dimension to a student’s college experience by broadening their understanding of world issues and cultures. These Global Village and Social Justice communities bring together both international and domestic students to live and learn together in a dynamic environment.
