National Residence Hall Honorary, or NRHH, is the recognition branch of NACURH. Recognition is necessary to help build strong communities within our residence Halls. NRHH is an organization established to recognize students who have made outstanding contributions in service and leadership to the residence halls. Only 1% of the residents living in the halls are accepted into each NRHH chapter. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is one of a number of colleges and universities across the United States and Canada to have a chapter. As a matter of fact, the 30 residents that made up UW-L's Carol Bassuener NRHH Chapter were recognized nationally as the Chapter of the Year at the NACURH 1998 conference and regionally at the GLACURH 2000 conference.
Students who are involved in the halls spend vast amounts of time getting others involved, planning activities, participating in events, and contributing to the overall community atmosphere. Very often these students are never thanked for their time and efforts. Making certain they are recognized is the founding principle behind NRHH. |
