What is RHAC?

RHAC stands for Residence Hall Association Council. RHAC is, first and foremost, the voice for students who live in the residence halls. The members and advisors of RHAC handle any and all concerns UW-L residents may have. It serves as an important communication link between students living in the residence halls and the University. RHAC not only strives to make the on-campus living experience even more enjoyable, but it also tries in its best capacities to serve residents by tackling relevant campus issues. RHAC is also dedicated to ensuring a great on-campus living experience by planning and funding campus-wide programs for both on-campus and off-campus students.

RHAC is made up of 22 hall representatives- two from each hall, nine executive board members, and three advisors.

What does RHAC do?

RHAC's main functions include improving student life within the residence halls, putting on its own large-scale programs, and providing funding for hall programming. This includes working to address any in-hall student issues, gathering ideas from other schools to bring to UW-L, and working with the Student Association and the Administration to tackle university wide issues, like dining services or the smoking policy. RHAC puts on a few major on-campus programs during the year. We put on Kraze Daze, the annual hall vs. hall competition, the Winter Formal dance, and a spring program that varies year to year. RHAC also puts on an end of the year Awards Night to thank the staff and execs for all the work they've done.
