Welcome New Students!

Before you are able to apply for housing, you need to be accepted for admission to UW-La Crosse.

Applicants accepted to attend UW-L who wish to live in the Residence Halls must first pay the $100 enrollment deposit. Please note there is a 24-hour processing time after your $100 enrollment deposit is submitted. Upon receipt of the $100 deposit, the Admissions Office will send information which includes a housing link to access the on-line housing application and instructions for paying the $75 housing fee.

Housing applications are prioritized by date received. We consistently have more requests for on-campus housing than there are spaces available. We urge you to apply for housing as quickly as possible.

Listed below are the steps required for applying for on-campus housing:

STEP 1: LEARN ABOUT THE RESIDENCE HALLS
Learn about UWL Residence Hall living on the hall information page. We encourage you to continue to visit the above website, as well as our home page for housing updates.
STEP 2: FOLLOW THE LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS, READ THE CONTRACT AND COMPLETE THE APPLICATION
Press the "Continue to Housing Application" link at the bottom of these instructions. Clicking this button will open a new window so you can refer to these instructions throughout the process.
Follow the instructions to Login and begin your application. Review the various information regarding your housing application and deposit. Click "Continue"to read the UWL Residence Hall Contract.

Review the UWL Residence Hall Contract and click "I agree to all terms and conditions within this contract". Next, complete the Residence Hall Application. To help you pick your hall preferences, and distinguish double and triple room options you can refer back to the hall information page

Click "Continue" to complete the Emergency Card and Meal Plan Information.Upon completing the above, click the "Continue" button. A Summary Page will appear indicating you have completed your application. Please print this page for your records.
STEP 3: PAY THE $75.00 HOUSING DEPOSIT TO COMPLETE YOUR HOUSING APPLICATION

If your deposit is not received within 10 days, your application will be cancelled and you will need to start over from STEP 1.

Click on the "Continue to Deposit Payment" button on your application summary or navigate to https://wings.uwlax.edu and log in to the WINGS Student Center. Pay your $75 Housing Deposit by clicking on the "Make a Deposit/Payment" link in your WINGS Student Center. (Please turn off any pop-up blockers prior to clicking the link.)

Steps for making payment:
  • Under the "Your Account" section Click the "Click here to make a payment" link.
  • Click the "On-Campus Housing Deposit" link for the semester you will be arriving (Spring 2013 or Fall 2013).
  • Click the "Add to Items to Pay" button
  • Click "Checkout"
    • After selecting "Checkout" you will need to select the Method of Payment you would like to use to make your payment. (Credit Card or Electronic Check)
    • Click the radio button in front of the method you choose
    • Please note: There will be a 2.75% convenience fee for all credit card transactions. We accept Master Card, American Express, Discover and Diners Club. There is no charge for electronic check payments. If you select to pay by credit card you will be prompted to acknowledge and accept the convenience fee for your payment.
    • Click "Continue Checkout"
    • Complete the required information for your payment method. And click "Continue to Checkout"
  • A Confirmation Page will appear. Click "Submit Payment" to complete your transaction.

Please print your confirmation page as your receipt. You should receive an e-mail within 10 days after we receive your completed housing application and deposit payment.
